Dr. Hassanain M. Ibraheem Al-Musawi serves as the Head of the Department of Surgery at the College of Medicine. In this leadership role, he oversees the academic, clinical, and administrative functions of the department, ensuring excellence in medical education, surgical training, and patient care.

A Consultant Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic Surgeon, Dr. Al-Musawi is actively engaged in both clinical practice and undergraduate medical teaching. He plays a central role in guiding students through clinical training and fostering a high standard of surgical competence.

He obtained his M.B.Ch.B. (UK) and holds the FICMS, reflecting his advanced training and professional standing in surgical practice.
