Second International Nursing Conference Continues with Scientific Sessions and Specialized Workshops

The activities of the Second International Nursing Conference continued with broad participation from researchers, academics, and healthcare professionals from Iraq and abroad. The conference program featured keynote lectures, scientific sessions, and specialized workshops focusing on the latest trends and innovations in nursing sciences and clinical practice.

The conference commenced with five keynote presentations delivered by distinguished national and international experts. These presentations addressed contemporary issues and emerging developments in nursing education, research, and practice. Among the keynote speakers were Dr. Mehdi Shafiei vice presedent of Al-Sibtain University, Dr. Zahra Karimian from Kashan University, and Prof. Dr. Mohammed Baqir Al-Jubouri from the University of Baghdad, alongside other prominent scholars from international academic institutions.

The first day of the conference also included three scientific workshops designed to enhance participants’ academic and professional competencies, in addition to a research session during which three scientific papers were presented and discussed, addressing current challenges and advancements in nursing and healthcare.

On the second day, the scientific program expanded to include two research sessions and several specialized workshops hosted by the College of Nursing at the University of Kerbala. Concurrently, the College of Nursing and Midwifery at Al-Sibtain University organized two research sessions featuring eight scientific papers focused on advanced and specialized nursing fields. Most of the presenters were researchers from institutions outside Iraq, reflecting the conference’s international scope and academic diversity.

One of the research sessions was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ali Kareem Al-Juboori, Dean of the College of Nursing and Midwifery at Al-Subtain University, while the second session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Noore din Mohammadi, Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs. Both sessions witnessed productive scientific discussions that enriched knowledge exchange and strengthened academic collaboration among participants.

The conference continues to provide an important platform for scientific dialogue, international cooperation, and the advancement of nursing education, research, and clinical practice at both regional and global levels.
