Practical Ophthalmoscope Training

The College of Medicine held a practical lecture for second-year students in the subject of Special Senses, presented by Dr. Farzana Keyanian, as part of the practical training program aimed at enhancing students’ clinical and practical skills.

The lecture included hands-on training on the use of the Ophthalmoscope, one of the essential instruments used in eye examination. Students were introduced to the proper technique for using the device, examining the fundus, retina, and optic nerve, as well as identifying important clinical findings during examination.

The session also focused on the basic steps of handling the ophthalmoscope, including adjusting the light and focus, maintaining the correct examination distance, and proper positioning during eye assessment. This practical training contributes to improving students’ clinical competence and preparing them for future medical practice.

Such scientific activities reflect the College of Medicine’s commitment to advancing both the academic and practical skills of its students across various clinical disciplines.
