Al-Subtain University of Medical Sciences, the international branch of Tehran University of Medical Sciences in the holy city of Karbala, hosted an advanced international training course organized by the Iraqi Physiotherapy Association entitled “Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation”, as part of joint scientific cooperation and ongoing efforts to advance medical and healthcare competencies. The course witnessed wide participation from specialists and researchers in the fields of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

The program featured intensive scientific and practical lectures delivered by Professor Dr. Behrouz Attarbashi Moghadam, professor at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Al-Subtain University, who presented the latest international protocols in cardiopulmonary physiology, electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation, and Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET).

The workshop also focused on the practical application of prescribing therapeutic exercise programs for cardiac patients across the four phases of cardiac rehabilitation, contributing to the development of clinical skills and enhancing professional competence in this vital specialty.

At the conclusion of the workshop, held on the university campus, certificates of participation were awarded to attendees in recognition of their active participation and engagement with the course topics, which aimed to update clinical knowledge and improve the quality of healthcare services provided to the community.
