Department Overview

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is committed to excellence in education, clinical service, and research in women’s health. The department provides comprehensive undergraduate medical education through an integrated, competency-based curriculum that combines scientific knowledge with hands-on clinical experience. Students receive structured training in antenatal care, labor and delivery, gynecological disorders, reproductive health, infertility, gynecological oncology, and women’s preventive healthcare under the supervision of experienced faculty members.

Clinical teaching is conducted in modern teaching hospitals and specialized women’s health centers, where students actively participate in patient care, bedside teaching, outpatient clinics, operating theatres, and simulation-based learning. The department promotes professionalism, ethical practice, evidence-based medicine, interdisciplinary collaboration, and lifelong learning while fostering compassionate, patient-centered care.
