Assistant Professor of Endocrine Physiology


Shaima Jabbar is the Head of the Department of Physiology at the College of Medicine and a specialist in physiology, pharmacology, and translational biomedical research.

She earned her Ph.D. in Endocrinology from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, USA, and completed postdoctoral research at Duke University, USA, where she focused on hematological malignancies and molecular medicine. Her interdisciplinary training supports a strong research foundation in endocrine disorders, cancer biology, and precision medicine.

Her academic and research interests include pharmacogenomics, endocrine disorders, cancer biology, molecular medicine, translational research, pharmacology and toxicology, and medical education. She is also actively engaged in research methodology training and scientific writing development for students and postgraduate researchers.


Dr. Jabbar has published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals and continues to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. She is committed to advancing excellence in medical education, fostering interdisciplinary research, and promoting evidence-based clinical practice within the College of Medicine.
